Moses' life, from the time he was left to float among the rushes to the time he stood in the land of Moab and gazed at the promised-land, which he would never enter, is given here in a simple but compelling narrative. The author approaches this familiar bible tale with a freshness that gives new life to the story although her run-of-the mill illustrations somewhat detract from this impression. An essentially fascinating biography told with undeviating fidelity to the source, The Story of Moses is recommended, particularly, for Sunday school reading.
