ASK FOR THE MOON--AND GET IT! The Secret to Getting What You Want by Knowing How to Ask

Overused ideas and suggestions rehashed ad infinitum. The author insists that anyone can get what he/she wants out of life if they only know the correct way to ask for it. A new job? A bank loan? A promotion? One cannot simply ask the person in power--you must know how to ask without manipulation and without creating a win/lose situation. Throughout, the author discusses what he calls the ""ten rules of asking"": know what you really need or want; be sure to ask the right person; prepare a good case before uttering a single word; always give something in return, such as respect or appreciation; overcome any barriers you may have; ask artfully and specifically; request or invite rather than demand or beg; show respect for the person being asked; don't give up. . .keep asking; and, finally, include other people in the request, too, rather than appearing selfish. Don't ask!
