BARON BRANDY'S BOOTS

Baron Brandy becomes hugely temperamental over everything all the time. He flings his wildest tantrum over a common pre-kindergarten mistake. The boots offered by the cobbler in lieu of rent were lovely, but the Baron got the left one on the right foot and vice versa. It hurt. The cobbler was going to have to pay for the pain by eating the boots as boiled by the cook's boy. The boy put on the boots and boiled up beef instead. When the Baron stopped raving, the well-fed cobbler pointed out where the Baron had gone wrong. Instantly, permanently he calmed the Baron. It's good enough for the youngest children to get a boot out of it and Gerald Rose's rather heavy cartoons suit the Baron's rotten disposition.
