by Peter Limburg ‧ RELEASE DATE: March 1, 1973
Everything about poison ivy, from its range, appearance and boatnical relatives (the cashew family) to detailed instructions for treatment of poison ivy rash and the removal (mostly by non-chemical methods) of unwanted vines. Non-sufferers may feel that Limburg spells all this out in excessive detail -- specifying proper protective clothing, introducing the concept of antibodies and immunization, etc., but he has anticipated all the questions which those seven out of ten who are susceptible will want to ask. The photographs, though adequate for identification purposes, are poorly reproduced. Informative, but at $5.50, an expensively packaged precaution.
