The first collection of Posers appeared in 1963 and this new collection of 80 of them (they are not tricks, riddles or puzzles, but can be solved by ""common sense properly exercised and directed"") will please and tease the audience for the first. The problems are grouped in order of difficulty and the first or second poser in each group can, the author says, be solved by a ""bright eight year old"" even though when tried out on a dull normal intelligence, more advanced in years only, they seemed difficult.... Lots of suggestions for application, whether gregariously in groups, or as a form of intellectual solitaire at home.
