HECTOR GOES FISHING

Seven year old Hector was a pacifist. He baited his fish hook with bread crumbs, for he didn't really want to catch the fish who approached. The fish was very surprised. So were the ducks who were sure Hector wanted to shoot them. And the rat couldn't believe that Hector had no designs on him. when a band of bullies appeared on the scene, Hector tried to defend his river friends, but he was overpowered by the predatory boys. But Hector's little protegees came to his defense -- the Emergency Duck River Guard and the Reptile River Police. A fantasy of aggression and pacifism with animal personifications.
