SQUAW POINT

Some really great as all outdoors excitement takes place in our 50th state and also in and out of the cold waters around a hinterland island, Squaw Point, with sealers (contraband -- destination Russia), Fish and Wildlife agents and raiders. There's also a ""hardly Christian"" missionary, Preacher White; a volcanologist; an appealing schoolteacher graduating into spinsterdom; and the halfbreed lawbreaker who attracts her more than he should. The cold, batteringly bracing atmosphere is indigenous and welcomely different for all cheechakos.
