Incidents of terrorism and rebellion against Mori, Fascist figurehead, lead to the death of Mori's son. The second part, a novelette, is again a story of rebellion, Burnt Corn, in an Indian village. The last third is an adventure story of the legendary Dutchman's mine and a search for gold, one which breeds fear, suspicion, terror, murder. High quality sustained throughout.
