THE TREE OF LIFE

This is no ordinary book on sex. Dr. Trevett's book redresses the balance missing in so many books on marriage which emphasize the objective facts of sex rather than the equally important subjective factors. He explores the data of the primary consciousness by contemplating sexuality as inherent in one's immediate awareness from infancy to old age. Throughout The Tree of Life, as the author discusses childhood, the crisis of adolescence, falling in love, the family, divorce, contraception, and the second half of life, he treats sexual experience subjectively. This makes for a frequently provocative analysis of the relationship between sexuality and the growth of personality with stress on the rich opportunities for development man's sexual nature offers.
