An Eastern city (Boston?) and the accident ward of a hospital forms the setting for the death of a man whose throat has been cut. The disappearance of his wallet involves two internes, a nurse, an actress and an actor, and the case extends to the machinations of a drug ring. Nice new local detective moons around without seeming to accomplish anything -- good dialogue and new setting.
