THE DOCTORS CARRY THE KEYS

A 10,000 advance on this, in 1933, suggests that here is a book with too good sales possibilities to neglect even at this late date. The author's earlier book, HOSPITAL, proved not only a good circulating library item, but a healthy over-the-counter seller as well. This promises better, as it has sounder plot structure, and more sureness of touch in the telling. The setting is the community of doctors' homes surrounding a mental sanitarium, with all the inevitably morbid cross-currents affecting the interplay of characters. A good tale, well told, good psychology and human drama.
