In a yarn timed for 1983, Ted Baker heads for Johnston island in the Pacific, wins out in a rivalry with a conceited older space cadet and finds himself on the first rocket ship to the moon. His singlehanded handling of all emergencies seems to class him as far smarter than the learned scientists who planned the trip- but in spite of this fantasy there are some interesting speculations about the first space station, nourishment on the moon and so forth.
