In style, format and content this is an exquisite little book. In poetic form it tells the story of the disciple Philip from the days of his childhood on up through the gospel record of the ministry of Jesus. As a boy, Philip was full of questions --about the world about him, about men and their purposes and about God. His father answered them as best he could and after his death Philip found that even better answers were forthcoming from the prophet of Nazareth who one day bade Philip to follow him. The final and most satisfying answer to his persistent question: ""What is God like?"" came when Jesus said to him: ""He that hath seen me hath seen the Father"". The typography and the illustrations by Josephine Haskell enhance the value of the book. This book lends itself to reading aloud to children, but adults will find in its simplicity and beauty an appealing presentation of eternal truths.
