(DR) The Episcopal Bishop of Arkansas presents here an exposition of the Parable of the Prodigal Son, under five headings; Into a Far Country; He Came to Himself; I Will Say Unto Him, Father; Thy Brother is Come; and This is My Son. The material in the Parable is developed briefly, the larger part of each chapter being given to further elaboration in terms of contemporary living, to which the terms of the Gospel are applied. Although not saying much that is strikingly new, the book does speak with an incisiveness and vigor, as well as cogency, that should make it useful reading for the lay Christian.
