Contagious enthusiasm is engendered- even for retired golfers (or especially for them- they have time to read!). Not designed to improve the game (see below for that) but it will add to the golf lore and anecdotes about the great, the near great, even the ancient history of golf and golfers. Highlights of players such as Sarazen, Hogan, Palmer, Hagen, Nicklaus, Vardon, Day, Ouimet, Bobby Jones; Stories of courses in Scotland, England and the United States- many of them unfamiliar pieces for most sports events readers. The familiar ones are here too. A delightful time passer.
