WHERE ARE YOU GOING, LITTLE MOUSE?

The simple story of a runaway mouse who thinks his family has stopped loving him, with charming, brightly colored pictures by the prolific team of Aruego and Dewey. Little mouse thinks his family doesn't want him, so he decides to run away ""as far from home as I can go."" There, he believes he will find a father who'll play with him (we see little mouse with his imaginary new father playing cat-and-mouse video games); a mother who'll stay with him (mother and son read books to each other, surrounded by piles of cheese to munch on); a brother who isn't mean (the two play in the bathtub, amidst all sorts of toys); and a sister (the new sister puts the finishing touches on a home-sewn super-mouse cape). But poor little mouse gets lonely when he cannot find his new perfect family, and, as evening approaches, he finds a phone booth and calls home. His family arrives by balloon to get him, and little mouse can tell, by the way they kiss and hug him, that they really do love him, and he of course loves them as well.
