The ""General Thanksgiving"" of the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer gives Dr. Robert N. Rodenmayer, who teaches at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, (Episcopal) at Berkeley, California, both a frame-work and a spring-board for the exposition of what should be man's constant and ready response to his Creator. It provides him with a perfect opportunity to set forth the true nature of the loving and forgiving God as revealed by Jesus Christ, and the duty of man, accepted though unacceptable, to give thanks to God as the most responsible, responsive and creative thing he can ever do. Well illustrated and persuasively written, this book would make excellent reading, a chapter at a time, for any Christian who would deepen his discipleship. It should not be thought as as ""Episcopal"" reading, - there is no denominationalism here. It's sound Christianity that any man may make his own; he will be thankful to the author and to God.
