I JOHN TAKE THEE MARY

One more book about how to succeed in marriage, though not without really trying! Professor Robert Rodenmayer of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific (Episcopal) has found in his own marriage counseling, and in teaching pastoral theology, that there was a crying need for a book to explain what is really meant by Christian marriage, with all the usual data put in a genuinely Christian context. Lest a prospective reader be put off with the fear that it is too theological, let it be stated at once that the whole book is genuinely human, warm and sympathetic,- at the same time that it is soundly and persuasively Christian. Though the author writes as a priest of the Episcopal Church, all that he says is applicable to any marriage situation. Here is a book to be given to every young couple planning a Christian marriage. It would be better if a less expensive paper edition could be made available.
