Well, when Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith hit the Vegas circuit this year one should carry this Guide, the other Gambling Secrets of Nick the Greek for a double or nothing chance of coming out even. This book, written ""in cooperation with the professional pit bosses of the famed Las Vegas casinos,"" is written on the premise that there's ""no publicity like a winner"" and also that an uninformed schnook at the table means a pain in the pit. Under no-nonsense headings like ""How to Survive (and Perhaps Prosper)"" this gives techniques, tips and odds out on Craps, Twenty-One, Roulette, Bingo, Keno, and other side games, card games, horse racing, betting on sports events, and even the percentage of getting the drop on a one-armed bandit. It's reassuring to note that the house really won't try to cheat (the employees are even fingerprinted). They don't have to. . . ""the house will always win in the long run."" But for those trying for a short run, this will be another natural on the first roll.
