The range is from the paper and pencil kind through the elaborate favorite of Elsa Maxwell in her heyday -- Murder. Some of the more active ones smack of the old rainy-day-recess games. The breezy, personal commentary that strings the games together is enough to make even an old spoilsport want to play. The subtitle could easily be -- The Social Chairman's Salvation.
