by Roger Duvoisin ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 15, 1941
This is an unusual collection of Swiss folk tales -- the only one comparable it are Tales of a Swiss Grandmother which are somewhat more elaborate. These are, the most part, very brief, scarcely more than fables in length; there are numerous involving creatures of nature, fairy folk, legends of natural events, stories casant origin. Humor and fantasy well blended. The author is a Swiss and has made beautiful book of his native legends.
