by Russell Brantley ‧ RELEASE DATE: March 19, 1962
A pleasantly written, cheerful and often funny book about a young Southern Baptist boy and his first encounter with college. Raised on a small farm by religious folk, Jonathan is instructed by the local preacher to spy on his college mates and report on sins committed on the campus. Torn between an active mealy-mouthed campus Baptist group and his wise football-playing roommate, Jonathan painfully learns to think for himself. Nicely deserved, sober at heart, this is a warm and compact book with a plus sale for young adults.
