AUNT SHARON'S WEDDING DAY

When a baby is left on the doorstep of the Ellis house, the two girls, Joyce and Ann plead with their Aunt Sharon to let them keep it until their parents return from a medical convention they are attending. Sharon, who embodies every virtue a pre-adolescent could project into a young aunt, agrees. Sally, the baby, affords the Ellis family both pleasure and anxiety, and after Sharon is safely married in an elaborate ceremony, becomes a permanent member of the Ellis menage. Much goes on here, but little really happens in this expanded day dream which is composed of one part icing, one part pablum, and one part cliche.
