WHAT SUSAN WANTED

A well-intentioned but noisy family's preferences almost override those of Susan, the youngest, when her birthday comes around. Not at all sure she wants a doll, as her sister Shirley suggests, or a baseball like Tom's, Susan sets out around the block one morning to think it out and make up her own mind. When she does, it turns out to be a rabbit that she wants. The encounter with one has its surprises. So does Susan who really has to holler in order to get her family to listen to her at last.
