HURRAY FOR CAPTAIN JANE!

A little girl's bathtub fantasy of an ocean liner with a crew of children and herself as captain, depicted in bright and bouncy pictures reminiscent of '30's-style illustration. On her bridge Jane plays with the meters, saves the ship from colliding with an iceberg, and dispenses jellybeans with largesse. Promoted (on the jacket) as an antidote to sexist stereotypes, it's really just a hand-medown daydream despite the spiffed-up appearance.
