by Samuel M. Shoemaker ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
Sam"" Shoemaker, as he is known to thousands of his admirers, is a dynamic Christian leader who has been carrying on personal evangelistic work in his Episcopal parish for more than twenty-five years. Recently transferred from Calvary Church, New York, to a church of the same name in Pittsburgh, it is evident that his insistence upon a first-hand, vital Christian experience is producing results there too. There is nothing new in this book for those who are familiar with his spoken and written message; but it does provide an excellent summary of that message for those who are not familiar with it. A personal relationship with Christ, an absolute reliance upon Him and His power, a radical re-ordering of one's life -- this is the revival of real religion Shoemaker espouses. He buttresses his arguments by stories of those who have successfully conducted this experiment in Christ-like living.
