WHITE PRINCE The Arabian Horse

Tousey has a good pace of story-telling, which makes him surely popular with eight and nine year olds, but his books always look as though they were meant for younger children, with the gay postery pictures and the action factor that possibly appeals to the addicts of the ""comics"". This is a boy and pony story of a pony that runs away from the circus and comes to the Tyler farm, where adventures begin for Alf and his Indian friends. Ultimately the boys' happiness is complete when the circus decides to leave the pony to Alf. There's a feeling of a dated twice-told tale, but it is none the less pleasant reading.
