by Scott Corbett ‧ RELEASE DATE: March 7, 1960
When an old woman gives Kirby a chemistry set, he expects magic but not miracles. But the transformation wrought by the elixir he brews is close to a miracle when the normally mischievous Kirby is transformed into a paragon of docility. Kirby uses his formula in a beneficent way until a good boy drinks the serum and is transformed into a bully. Things right themselves, but not until Kirby and his classmates undergo transformations which are as lively as they are comic. An engrossing story which does not strain the reader's credulity, but exercises his imagination.
