by Seymour Simon ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 22, 1980
Fun with mirrors, and why the images behave as they do. After introducing the mirror image--and challenging readers to try drawing a picture while watching the drawing hand in the mirror--Simon shows how to get a ""correct image"" (really a ""mirror image of a mirror image"") in the corner of two hinged mirrors. Add a third, and you have a ""corner cube mirror."" Most of this, plus the directions for a simple periscope and kaleidoscope and a quick run through some uses of mirrors, is also covered at this level in the Epsteins' Look in the Mirror (1973), but Simon's simple presentation here is a bit sharper.
