by Shelley Smith ‧ RELEASE DATE: Nov. 1, 1950
The fourth of Shelley Smith's mysteries, and again a cast of unattractive principals which includes a young mother, wife of a British officer, long away from home, the officer, his American mistress, and an assortment of hangers-on. When the wife blocks a divorce, and dies violently, the husband- covering for his girl, and then himself, kills twice but is arrested for the original crime of which he was innocent. The constant shift of viewpoint and interest gives this confusion without direction.
