The Magnificent Mac Innes; Tessy, The Hound of Channel I; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying -- these previous titles may have conditioned a waiting audience for a mead of Mead which here fantasizes on the next step (down) from TV. The mechanized world of 1992 is well taken care of by Con Chem but birth rates, and sales are falling off. Con Chem's Lanny Martin tells the story of how XP changed all that and how XP, first used in Molly Blood's temple, was the reason for an almost successful revolution on Momsday. XP, via a headset, going one further than Cinerama, makes the individual the actual participant in sight, sound, smell, taste, and hearing (this does quite a bit for sex) but there is a party which would destroy its backers to prevent further lowering of all standards -- and they are defeated. Sniping here on the quo vadis of religion, culture and aesthetics -- but in return the reader might question the author's own taste. However, each to his own.
