DEBBY

Debby was a city child who learns to know the country first from a trailer in southern Texas along the Gulf. There is lots of Texas background, -- familiar landscape, local plant life, a blend of Mexicans and Americans, and Debby's enthusiasm, and enjoyment of the simple things of outdoor life are contagious. At the close, she is thrilled to learn that at last she will live in a house. A pleasant easy story, for little girls of eight to ten, so it bridges the ages groups as indicated here.
