by Simenon ‧ RELEASE DATE: May 16, 1940
Thanks to good promotion technique and good merchandise to substantiate the claims, Simenon is already a made man, in mystery circles. Here come two more stories, (Liberty Bar and The Mad Man of Bergerac), with Maigret a bit more active in sideline investigation, and reserving his usual routine for the last part of the performance. Good yarns, both of them. We like him better than his English prototype.
