CURTAIN GOING UP

Pretty poor Kerr, not worth the reaching beyond rentals that she sometimes rates. Joyce faces a breakdown about the same time she sells a play -- and goes home to find herself wholly out of key with the life, misplaced in the luxury, unamenable to the family bickering, unprepared for the intolerance which brooks no explanation. Her romance crashes but her play is a success -- and she turns to new loves.
