by Stanley & Janice- Illus. Berenstain ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 25, 1964
The Berenstain Bears first rollicked on to the easy reading scene in The Big Honey Hunt. The Bike Lesson is an excellent follow-up-a long rhyme in short words with a broad smile at fathers. Dad Bear gives Small Bear a new bike, but won't relinquish it until he's had a good ride. He claims that he's giving a series of bike-riding lessons but he wheels into a series of disasters until Small Bear has to pump him home on the handle-bars. Four color cartoon illustrations in the Berenstain's well known (McCall's) style.
