BUNGA-BUNGA

A bit too British in its type of humor as well as in its setting. A satire on English diplomatic life in a South Sea island, where a new governor was sent to break up the night life. A book that just misses being very amusing, but even at that it has enough fun in it to afford a relief from some of the heavier literature of the day. Not universal enough to catch the Wodehouse crowd, nor naughty enough to appeal to the Thorne Smith addicts.
