With none of the floriculture of the genre which is Gothic but modern, this finds six young people on the coast of Western Scotland at the remote home place of Decima which she is determined to keep, in spite of her husband Charles whom she insists is trying to kill her. While Charles, irresistible to almost everyone, contends that Decima is unstable and indeed Rachel, their friend, doesn't know whom to trust or believe -- even Rohan Quest known as a child, or Daniel, new to all of them. Nor will you. . . . A pleasant way to make time fly, before it runs out.
