MONDAY I WAS AN ALLIGATOR

In the bathtub on Monday, Emily is an alligator, splashing Grammie when she comes too close. On Tuesday she's a monkey in the apple tree, jumping down on Grampie, then throwing up from eating too many green apples. On Wednesday she's a polar bear, snatching food from Mother at the fridge. She keeps this up until Saturday and it's no wonder that the others in the family are fed up. Then, on Sunday: ""Today I'm just me, Emily. And do they ever appreciate it."" There's a spot of home truth in Emily's pert conclusion, and Murdocca puts a bit of humor into the unimaginatively conceived antics--without trying to make more of them than they're worth.
