OLIVER

Oliver is an elephant, the odd member of a group, rejected and forever banished. Wistfully, he wanders about the world of men, trying to find a niche. As a household pet, as a sporting beast, as a playground supervisor, he is not much good. But adversity breeds courage in Oliver, and finally it is discovered that he is possessed not only of stamina and size, but also of a talent. And it is Oliver's curious talent which reinstates the rejected animal into a congenial society.
