Incidents and episodes are picked from some longer books, such as Rip Van Winklo, Brar Rabbit, Robin Hood, Tom and Huck, Gullivor, Neidi, Dr. Doolittle, Treasure Island, Robinson Crusoe...Mind you, I'm not advocating this method of introducing the classics to the youngsters as a substitute for discovering the real thing, but we all know that too many children miss them altogether, and in this form, parents who'd pass the individual books by, will seize upon these avidly. Let's trust the kids to go on from there....Again a beautiful piece of merchandise, Tenggren's pictures are amazingly well reproduced. Tops in sales pull.
