CAMP CONCENTRATION

Meet Louie Sacchetti, serving a five year prison term as a ""conchie,"" (conscientious objector) in the not too far off future. Suddenly he's transferred to the luxuriously equipped Camp Archimedes where human guinea pigs are given shots that boost the mind but destroy the body. Himself victimized, he keeps a journal annotating the mind-blowing activities at the camp as he copes with his new genius and waits for death. Predictable? No. . . a real shock treatment for an ending. And good concentrated effort from Mr. Disch.
