More than substantial stuff, and some new variants for the story of Coe Yates, who with his marriage to Cynthia Ordman lines up with her once powerful father against the independent operators in the valley. Refusing however to give in to Cynthia's ambition to control the valley, Coe finally realizes to what lengths she will go as she kills a man to stir up war, hires a gun crew, throws in with another man. And Coe, returning to his friends, and Helen who had always loved him, helps to defeat Cynthia and restore peace. Good.
