TIMMY AND THE TIN-CAN TELEPHONE

Timmy and Kit are next door neighbors, but unlike some of their neighbors, they are early risers. In an attempt to subdue their early morning communiques, Timmy's father helps them construct a tin-can telephone, over which they can speak without rousing the entire community. A step by step description of the machine, illustrated in clear color drawings by Paul Galdone, not only makes up an easy-reading book of considerable suspense, but suggests an interesting experiment in do-it-yourself engineering.
