Five Book Jun (approx. 5x6(apple)"") packaged in a novelty paper grandfather's clock. The clock has plastic hands -- unfortunately very fragile -- and there are directions on the back for teaching children to tell time, as well as a time rhyme. The books: Animal Stories has very large type and appealing pictures to tell elementary stories about animals and birds. A happy Local who is forced to be a Through Train and miss all the pleasant track-side sights, forms the story of Benjie Engie and Mr. Snitzel gets fairy attention and a wish come true because he was so kind and good in a jolly little fable. Henrietta still tickles us (see report P. 59); and the story of Toby the colt who wanted to be a red horse, has winsome, horsey pictures. The stories and two and four-color illustrations are high quality for the price. Shiny paper covers, and stapled. Should be a fast-selling novelty item.
