ISLAND MACKENZIE

Mackenzie, a shipwrecked cat, lands on a desert island and having attended to his physical needs begins to miss people, particularly the good Captain Juniper of the pleasure cruiser Marigold. Also on the island is a co-survivor of the wrecked Marigold, Miss Pettifer, who is equally devoted to the captain, but hates cats. After the finicky spinster attempts to rid herself once and for all of the feline annoyance, she undergoes a change of heart, and the two castaways become great friends, waiting together for the Captain who finally rescues them, marries Miss Pettifer, and of course installs Mackenzie into his comfortable new home.
