CURTAIN BETWEEN

Synthetic, but not spurious, values for a fairly dressy dish of mystification as well as murder as Laird Manning marries Donna Galloway, and after a few weeks finds her anxious to dissolve the marriage and disclaim the child that is coming, is suspicious of the circumstances in which her first husband died, the months she spent in a private asylum, and the present attempts on his own life. In the face of all this evidence against Donna, Laird still protects her through a first- and second-murder, is eventually vindicated by the apprehension of the killer and the return of Donna's affection.
