THE BUZZING BEES

Johnny's enjoyment of a summer vacation on his uncle's farm is spoiled-by the apiary, for Johnny hates and fears bees. The boy ultimately faces and overcomes his fear in order to protect a baby cousin. Although the illustrations are factual and show the inside of a hive, they are generally unappetizing and in some cases could make young readers or listeners fearful of bees. The idea is fine, but execution falters.
