MY UNCLE JAN

A collaboration which has produced a hearty, really very funny family account, of Uncle Jan especially, but of the immigrant settlement of New Bohemia, Wisconsin, also. Jan's escapades, his misadventures, and the results on his fellow Czechoslovaks, his relatives and their involvement in his adventures,- all is accented by the mouthwatering details of national cooking, inherited customs, and community participation... There's a definite quality to the presentation of the incidents and characters, and the whole is a warm, colorful family portrait.
