by Warren Brown ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
Never a colorful team like the Yankees or the Giants, the White Sox did have their moments as when the ""hitless wonders"" defeated the Chicago Cubs in the 1906 World Series, and when a truly great 1919 team threw the World Series to the Cincinnati Reds. Chiefly the story of Charlie Comiskey and his untiring efforts to build a team. Brown ends with the surprising drive of the 1951 team which augurs well for the future.
