OLD WITCH AND THE POLKA DOT RIBBON

You'd think that a witch could devise a trickier way to prevent snooty Mrs. Butterbean's cake from winning the baking contest than by carrying it off when nobody's looking -- anybody could do that. Just as anybody could make the nut cake that unaccountably takes a prize for being the ""most original."" ""The judges thought it had a haunting flavor,"" Old Witch is told, and the occasional play on words is where the fun is, such as it is.
